Who we are
The Global Shapers Vancouver is a community of young leaders working to create positive change in their local and global communities. We are part of the Global Shapers Community, a network of over 10,000 young leaders aged between 20-30, who are shaping their communities and the world.
What we do
Our mission is to empower young people to make a meaningful impact in the world by providing them with the resources, connections, and support they need to lead change. Our members are passionate, driven individuals who are committed to making a difference. We work together to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing our city and our world, including climate change, poverty, and inequality. We believe that by working together, we can create a more just, sustainable, and equitable world. Join us and be part of the change.
Why we care
The Vancouver Hub of Global Shapers operates under the belief that young leaders have the potential to create positive change in their local and global communities. Our theory of change is that by providing our members with the resources, connections, and support they need, we can empower them to lead and implement sustainable solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing our city and world.
Our theory of change is composed of three main components:
Building a community of young leaders: By bringing together young, passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, we aim to create a community of leaders who can collaborate, share ideas and support each other in their efforts to make a difference.
Providing resources and support: We provide our members with access to resources such as funding, mentorship, training, and networking opportunities to help them turn their ideas into action.
Driving impact: By equipping our members with the tools and support they need, we aim to empower them to lead and implement sustainable solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing our city and world. We believe that by working together, we can create a more just, sustainable, and equitable world.
Our theory of change is an iterative process in which we continuously assess and adapt our approach to ensure that we are effectively empowering our members to create positive change in their communities.
